Facebook Campus Project Could Bring Jobs to the Bay Area

Bay Area union members gathered in Menlo Park’s Council Chamber on Tuesday to support the new Facebook project which would repurpose the space once held by Sun Microsystems. While jobs were on most people’s minds, Belle Haven residents expressed their concerns about gentrification.
From Palo Alto Patch, “The goal of Tuesday night’s City Council meeting was to further familiarize Councilmembers with the project proposal, the draft environmental impact report, the fiscal impact analysis, and thedevelopment agreement process, according to the meeting agenda. It was also an opportunity for people to share their thoughts about the project with local government officials.”
